About This Product

It has a 12MP panchromatic sensor, a new thermal sensor with twice the GSD of the previous model, and 5 separate spectral bands. Its high resolution makes it an ideal sensor for machine learning plant-level applications such as crop counting. It also features a global shutter, an open API, and a new storage device that allows up to 2 captures/sec.

■Features

A multispectral camera exclusively for Micasense series drones. It features higher resolution than the RedEdge-P of the same series and an additional thermal sensor. In addition, the panchromatic band can significantly increase the GSD (ground resolution) of multispectral images, which are originally low resolution, so it can be used in a variety of industries.

■Synchronized thermal and multispectral images

MicaSense Altum-PT captures synchronized multispectral, thermal, and panchromatic data to obtain pixel-aligned output at very high resolution. Capture of these bands occurs simultaneously, eliminating the need for data alignment in post-processing.

■GSD of Altum-PT camera

GSD (Ground Resolution) refers to the pixel size of an image in cm. The lower the GSD, the smaller the pixels and the more they can fit into the image, resulting in higher resolution. Depending on the purpose of use, it may be okay to have a high GSD, but generally speaking, the lower the GSD, the wider the scope of use.

■Increased storage

CFexpress's new professional removable storage standard. Enables more than 2 captures per second, instant turnaround time between flights with card swaps, and lightning-fast card-to-computer upload speeds for more efficient data management.

■The high spatial resolution of the previous ALTUM is doubled

Altum-PT features an ultra-high resolution panchromatic sensor that can "pan-sharpen" multispectral images, ultimately increasing the spatial resolution of multispectral data. Pan-sharpen ground resolution when flying at 60m is 1.2cm.
