About This Product

■Reliable technology that meets diversifying needsYamahachi Porous' manufacturing technology goes beyond just general shapes such as seats and cylinders. With our extensive knowledge and know-how, from mold design to raw material blending to molding processing, we can also handle molding of porous materials through injection molding.

The raw material used is polyethylene (PE). It has a continuous fine porous structure and has excellent chemical/solvent resistance and durability. In addition, it is hydrophobic and does not absorb water or moisture, so it has rust-proofing and waterproofing effects. It passes liquids such as oil and ink, and has functions such as liquid retention (reservoir), liquid application, and liquid adsorption. Since it does not use fibers, it will not fray or fall off.

■Basic characteristics・Flexibility: Flexible and will not damage the surface or workpiece.
・Permeability: It has an affinity for oil and ink and penetrates.
・Breathability Allows air and gas to pass through
・Hydrophobic: It has a weak interaction with water and does not repel or mix with water, so it does not absorb water or moisture.
・Durability Polyethylene base for excellent durability
・Lint-free: Low dust generation material that does not cause the base material to fall off because it is not a fiber material.
・Chemical resistance Highly resistant to acids and alkalis, and relatively resistant to oils and organic solvents.
