About This Product

■Durability more than doubles for the previous cost

Repainting a steel plate roof every 9 to 10 years with regular paint is a waste of money. Diecoat is based on natural asphalt (bitumen) and boasts long-term durability. Due to its excellent durability, it is possible to reduce repainting cycles and reduce costs accordingly. Die-coat exhibits more than twice the durability of regular paints, even though the installation price is about the same as that of regular paints.

■Long-term durability

Diecoat is a long-lasting paint made from carefully selected natural asphalt (bitumen). Natural asphalt is flexible enough to withstand the expansion and contraction of steel plates, and is characterized by extremely low deterioration due to temperature changes. No dangerous asbestos is used. In addition, the aluminum paste contained in the product is in the form of flakes, so it strongly repels the penetration of ultraviolet rays, which accelerates deterioration.

■Thick and flexible coating film

A film thickness of 250 to 300μ can be obtained with one coat of die coat. It is a highly flexible paint that will not cause cracks in the paint film even if you repeatedly bend the die-coated steel plate 180 degrees. Unlike regular paints, the paint film will not crack or peel.

■ Demonstrates strong resistance to salt damage and pollution

The atmosphere contains chemical components such as sulfur dioxide gas, which accelerates the deterioration of the paint film. Diecoat strongly resists both acidity and alkalinity and continues to protect the paint film for a long time. It also exhibits strong resistance in salt-damaged areas.

■Water leakage measures

It is possible to effectively prevent water leakage by combining die coat with a roof tape that is compatible with the roof tape. *Waterproofness is not guaranteed.

■More than 50 years of history and a track record of more than 10 million m2

Since its introduction in Japan in 1970, Diecoat has been used mainly on the roofs of factories and warehouses of major companies, including domestic steel companies. There are many roofs that have not been repainted even after more than 20 years, and their durability and economic efficiency are highly evaluated.

Die-coat itself has rust-preventing properties, but if rust is present, apply a rust-preventing paint depending on the underlying condition. We recommend "Therm Primer", a modified epoxy resin anti-corrosion adhesive primer.

The die coat is most effective when it adheres to the base material, so please make sure to expose as much of the base material as possible. If there is an old paint film, the adherent active film can be left behind, but the old or floating film must be completely removed.

There will be some color unevenness during painting, but as the days go by, the unevenness will disappear and the color tone will become stable. Avoid painting when rain is predicted.

For dilution, use a special thinner to dilute 0 to 10%. Since aluminum has precipitated, use a stirrer to thoroughly stir the whole thing from the bottom.

Brush, roller, and spray painting (airless) are all possible.
For airless: Air pressure 5~6kg/cm3, diameter 1.3~1.8mm, hose inner diameter 9mm or more

Dry film thickness 250~300 microns film thickness
Apply at a coating weight of 0.5kg/m2 (60m2/can).

Contact: 30~60 minutes Complete drying: 1~2 days
