About This Product

Gerhardt has been manufacturing and selling Dumastherm, a combustion method device specifically for measuring nitrogen/protein in foods, feeds, and pharmaceuticals, but now it is possible to simultaneously measure carbon and nitrogen in around 10 minutes using a variety of applications. We propose Dumastherm CN, a CN coder that can do this. Applications include carbon/nitrogen (protein) analysis in food and feed samples, CN measurement in pharmaceutical, soil, and biomass samples, and CN measurement in crude oil and coal samples. Dumastherm CN works in conjunction with the powerful software Dumastherm Manager. This dedicated software sets all parameters for instrument control, such as measurement methods and measurement data processing, and everything is controlled by this Windows-based software. Dumastherm CN has been developed with a focus on fast and accurate measurements with efficient use of consumables and gases. Innovative technology and accompanying developments have made it possible to reduce maintenance as well as require fewer consumables to keep running costs low. Dumastherm CN is based on the proven Dumastherm catalytic combustion principle for complete conversion of the sample to its corresponding oxide. Stoichiometric combustion with very small amounts of oxygen reduces measurement time and reduces costs per analysis. After combustion, all combustion gases are reduced to nitrogen element by passing through the reduced copper surface and then passed through the analysis circuit. The carbon dioxide is trapped while all the nitrogen is measured using an innovative single-flow TCD (no reference and therefore half the gas consumption). After measuring nitrogen, the trapped carbon dioxide is automatically released into the measuring line and measured by the same TCD.

Trap bottle and special hose are maintenance free - About 10 minutes per sample for CN measurement, about 4 minutes for N measurement ・Auto sampler with 40 samples as standard equipment ・Automatic gas leak diagnosis function in a short time (about 1 minute) ・Continuous measurement of up to 120 samples (optional) ・Samples can be added during measurement ・Very compact and silent design with a width of 80cm and a depth of 37cm
