About This Product

This product is a set that includes chromosomes, gum media (adhesive liquid), and sample specimens used when creating slides. Contains two types of chromosome fluid: methylene (blue) and eosin (red).

The important thing to keep in mind when making preparations is to slice the prepared plant sample thinly so that light can pass through it. Staining nearly transparent samples with a staining solution makes them easier to observe. You can make preparations using insect wings as they are.

When observing living plankton such as daphnia, drop the sample onto a slide glass with a dropper and add a drop of gum media to the slide to slow the sample's movement and make it easier to observe.
