■What is a steam trap?It is installed at the end of equipment that consumes steam produced by boilers, such as steam heaters and heat exchangers in production plants. The major role of a steam trap is to separate the condensed water generated inside from the steam and quickly discharge it in order to demonstrate and maintain the performance of the equipment.

In addition, piping is used to supply steam from the boiler to equipment, but condensed water generated inside the pipe causes steam hammer, which can cause various problems. It is installed to prevent this. On the supply side, high-efficiency boilers are used to supply steam, but due to poor maintenance, steam is being discharged unnecessarily on the consumer equipment side due to lack of maintenance of steam traps.
