■Calmflex F-55 sound-absorbing material What is sound-absorbing material?
Calmflex "F-55 Sound Absorbing Material" is a sound insulating material made by pasting 100% polyester flame-retardant non-woven fabric on the surface of F-2 sound absorbing sponge. "F-4LF", which has the same surface coating, has a smooth and glossy surface, but F-55 is a sound-absorbing material covered with non-woven fabric, as shown in the photo. In other words, among the sound-absorbing materials we handle, this material has less surface deterioration due to the effects of ultraviolet rays and changes over time than other sound-absorbing materials.
■Features
It is an adhesive type with non-woven fabric pasted on it, and can be processed to the desired size from the standard size of 1,000mm x 2,000mm. This is a sound absorbing material suitable for absorbing sound in the medium frequency range, and is recommended for applications where weather resistance is important. The back side is adhesive (double-sided tape), so it is easy to install because you can peel off the release paper and stick it directly to the structure you want to absorb sound, but unlike other soundproofing materials, the surface film wrinkles when bent. Therefore, you can paste it on any flat surface without any problem.
■About usage
It is also used as a soundproofing measure inside the housings of communication equipment, measuring instruments, information equipment, disaster prevention equipment, etc., as well as on the walls of audio rooms and motor generators.
