About This Product

The Silverson FMX5 is a laboratory-scale model of a powder/liquid mixing mixer, flash mix, that operates on a similar principle to production models and provides an accurate and easy means of predicting flash mix performance in the laboratory. and help scale up. The FMX5 mixer has been tested with a variety of powders, with results comparable to production scale model flash mixes.

These powders include powders such as gums (CMC, guar gum, gum arabic, pectin, xanthan gum, etc.), carbopol, bentonite, etc.

The FMX5 mixer provides a simple, efficient and easy to clean means of powder/liquid mixing. This unit is ideal for small scale manufacturing and R&D applications. It can also handle higher viscosity mixtures.

■Features-Powerful 1hp (0.75kW) single-phase motor with variable speed control.
- The metal material of the wetted parts is 316L stainless steel.
- Touchpad control panel with tachometer, timer, and load current display.
-Replaceable rotor/stator.
-Standard conical, 1 liter capacity stainless steel hopper. Other shapes are available to improve flow for powders that are prone to bridging.
・Adapts to batch sizes up to 10 liters depending on viscosity.

The FMX5 has a pumping rotor similar to a flash mix, providing a unique method of incorporating powder into liquid, allowing for the production of homogeneous, agglomerate-free solutions at laboratory scale. The FMX5 provides a simple, efficient and sanitary means for mixing and dispersing powders into liquids on a laboratory scale. The FMX5 mixer is also available in a sanitary version, the FMX5 UHS model.
