Register participating members for each haiku group. The rules for the number of haiku submissions and haiku voting will be decided for each haiku group. Example) Submitted haiku: 3 haiku, selected haiku: 1 excellent haiku, 3 selected haiku. etc. Basically, it is a mutual haiku selection, but you can also participate in just posting haiku or just choosing haiku. You can freely set the frequency of haiku meetings, such as every month or every 3 months. The secretary sets the theme for the haiku meeting, the haiku submission period, the haiku selection period, and the date and time for the review of the results, and the haiku meeting begins.

Haikus selected by each other are the basics, but you can also submit your own haiku or select your own haiku. As long as you have an internet environment and equipment, you can use any time, place, or device. Especially when choosing a poem, you can take your time to appreciate, ponder, and vote. There is no need for transcribing (transcribing, aggregating), which is unrelated to the content, and more time can be spent on the author's explanations and appreciation reviews. Devices that can be used are PCs, Macs, smartphones, and tablets. Submitted haiku can also be downloaded from the database.
One haiku group has members from remote areas such as Matsuyama and Tokyo, so the reviews are held via Skype and usually include alcohol. (It's a remote banquet where haiku is the topic, and it's always a blast.) Traditionally, at haiku gatherings, the haiku are written on strips of paper, copied onto scrip paper, and circulated with the author's identity hidden. Depending on the number of participants and the number of haiku submissions, it may take more than an hour to transcribe, leaving less time for discussion.
With i-haiku, the transcription is done automatically and there is no need for any copying work. In addition, records of haiku selections can be downloaded to spreadsheet software such as Excel, making it easy to organize and save. As soon as the haiku selection is over, the results of the haiku selection vote will be tallied, and you can immediately proceed to the original purpose of ``appreciating the content of the haiku''. At one haiku meeting, when I switched from paper strips to i-haiku, one person said, ``It was the most fulfilling haiku meeting I've ever had. I'll never go back.''
This was because the haiku gathering had more time, and all the haiku became the subject of appreciation and comment. There are some good haiku even among the haiku that are left out of the selected haiku.
