About This Product

(This product is a product of IPA specific program development and dissemination project) Based on the spatial fractal theory of complex systems, it is possible to evaluate the intrinsic self-similar structure of images and obtain subtle features. Example: Using fractal dimension, it is possible to quantitatively evaluate the likeability of photos and the relaxing/stimulating effects of photos.

■Overview of fractal analysis program

It is possible to numerically characterize the structure of shapes that are not geometrically simple but complex and difficult to grasp at first glance based on fractal theory. Fractal phenomena are observed everywhere in nature, and by treating such phenomena as image data, qualitative and quantitative analysis is possible. It is also possible to perform fractal analysis of image data generated by a constructional simulation program.
