About This Product

EM sensor (Electromagnetic sensor) is a sensor developed by IIU for non-destructive testing. The measurement principle is a technology that applies electromagnetic induction phenomena, and is a technology that measures the motion of a rotating body as changes in the magnetic field. The feature is that it can detect abnormalities in low-speed rotating objects and wear on gear teeth, which are difficult to detect with general vibration acceleration sensors.

■Features The M sensor converts the internal movement of rotating equipment into voltage signals, which are collected and saved on an Android device (4 inches or larger).

・Connection to Android devices uses Bluetooth, which is wireless and highly convenient. ・Up to 2 channels of sensors can be connected to the wireless front-end amplifier unit. By connecting an ICP type vibration acceleration sensor with an EM sensor, you can use it to suit your needs, such as supplementing conventional vibration diagnosis.

■Advantages of EM sensor

・Non-contact type: Since it captures changes in eddy currents that occur in the measurement target as it passes through the static magnetic field created by the EM sensor, there is no need to install it directly on the measurement target. ・No power supply required: Sensors with built-in amplifiers require an external power supply, but EM sensors do not require a power supply.

■Feature 1: It is possible to visualize rotating objects

It is possible to visualize the behavior of impellers and couplings in rotating machinery. (Can diagnose misalignment and imbalance)

■Feature 2: Compatible with low frequency band measurement

Demonstrates effectiveness in the low frequency band (DC-10Hz), which is difficult for vibration measurement (possible to diagnose abnormalities in bearings of low-speed rotating machinery)
