■Product description

It is a housing-mounted Long Wave Infrared (LWIR) thermal array sensor (80x62 pixels) with an innovative CMOS hybrid architecture (SenXor™). The CMOS hybrid architecture (SenXor™) is made by bonding two CMOS wafers with a vacuum cavity in between using Meridian Innovation's patented technology "Wafer Level Vacuum Package (WLVP)". Containing all circuitry and sensor elements, the top (cap) wafer properly maintains the vacuum conditions and transmits longwave infrared (LWIR) radiant energy to the pixels. The camera module consists of a WLVP chip, a PCB-mounted chip, and a custom housing containing a lens assembly.

We recommend using the camera module in conjunction with a dedicated thermal image processor board. The camera module can be clip-mounted to a thermal image processor board for temperature calibration and image optimization. The camera module can also be removed and remotely mounted if desired. The camera module is calibrated at the factory, and the calibration information is stored in the 64KByte flash memory installed in the camera module. The thermal image processor performs all the low-level calculations required to process the raw data from the camera module, completely removing this burden from your CPU. This results in a very clear and streamlined interface that is easy to implement and maintain.
