■Example when used in combination with IC-SAT100
If you want to use IC-SAT100 outdoors as a portable device, but also in a car or indoors, we recommend using the optional AH-40 and docking station (BC-247). By replacing the IC-SAT100's attached antenna with the AH-40 and installing it on the roof of your car or in a place with good visibility outdoors, you can use satellite communications even from inside your car or indoors. Additionally, the docking station can communicate while charging and is equipped with an anti-theft alarm, supporting in-vehicle and indoor operation.
■Example when used in combination with IC-SAT100M
The antenna unit attached to IC-SAT100M is intended to be installed on a large vehicle such as a truck. When installing IC-SAT100M in a regular car, replace the antenna part inside the IC-SAT100M's attached antenna unit with an external antenna (AH-40) and attach AH-40 to the roof of the car. At that time, you can install it smartly by using a commercially available antenna cover.

*The distance from the main unit to the antenna is an approximate guide. The height of the building is an estimate assuming that the height of one floor is 3.5m.
*For lengths of 1.5m or more, a coaxial cable OPC-2422 (sold separately) is required.
