■Extremely low delay calls possible
There is almost no audio delay like you would with a digital system. It can support scenes that require more severe collaboration.
■Supports simultaneous calls
A typical walkie-talkie only listens while the other person is talking. I cannot speak until I finish speaking. However, IC-5020 supports simultaneous calls. You can speak and listen at the same time just like on the phone, so you can have smooth conversations. It is effective at sites where severe communication is required, such as crane work.
■IP67* dustproof and waterproof performance
Achieves the highest level of dustproof and waterproof performance IP67*. You can use it without worrying about it even in rainy weather or in dusty environments.
*With the battery pack and antenna properly attached, leave the test dust suspended in a mixture of 2 kg per 1 m3 for 8 hours, then take it out and check that no dust has entered the inside of the radio. Also, it can be operated as a radio by gently submerging it in still water (room temperature tap water) to a depth of 1m, leaving it for 30 minutes, and then taking it out.
■Lightweight and compact body
The compact body of 51.4 (W) x 95.5 (H) x 26.0 (D) mm (including BP-238N, excluding protrusions) is extremely lightweight at only 155g (when BP-304A is installed). This radio is not bulky and easy to carry.
■Mic gain can be set in 5 steps
Equipped with a microphone gain adjustment function that allows you to set the microphone input level in 5 levels. This helps maintain a constant output regardless of differences in the volume of the user's voice or surrounding environmental sounds.
■Ensuring compatibility with conventional models
Ensures call compatibility with previous models IC-4855/IC-5010/IC-MS5010. We can also support the purchase or replacement of existing portable devices for simultaneous call systems manufactured by our company.
