Features of Motion Tight
■High ability to prevent loosening with a single bolt
Just tighten it normally to prevent it from coming loose. The threads are slightly inclined toward the seat surface compared to the standard thread shape, so when tightening, the top of the male thread flank will gradually come into contact with the female thread flank. When a load is applied, the threads of the male screw deform elastically and force is exerted to return to the seat surface, creating a strong repulsive force on the contact surface and preventing loosening. Recommended tightening torque is the same as standard bolts.
■Fatigue strength 1.2 times
The biggest disadvantage in terms of the structure of male threads is that they have an extremely unbalanced structure, with about 1/3 of the total load being applied to the first mating thread, and the maximum stress occurring at the root of the thread. Therefore, if an external force above a certain level is applied, fatigue failure may occur from the root of the first thread. Motion Tight reduces the load on the first mating thread by slightly bending the mating threads, thereby improving fatigue strength.
■Prevention of burn-in
Even stainless steel screws with a high coefficient of friction will not seize. When tightening, MotionTight gradually comes into contact with the top of the male thread to prevent the concentration of frictional heat, so stainless steel screws with a high coefficient of thermal expansion will not stick even when tightened. In order to lower the coefficient of friction, it is common to apply lubricant or perform surface treatments, but MotionTight also exhibits excellent performance in terms of work efficiency and cost.
■Stable axial force even without lubricating oil
If you perform an axial force test on the fabric after heat treatment without surface treatment (without lubricating oil), the difference in variation from the standard product will clearly appear. Furthermore, in a test repeated 10 times in a row, some standard products break after just a few times, but MotionTight's variation is within a small range. Although it depends on the type and presence of surface treatment, MotionTight reduces the variation in axial force to about 1/2, which is said to be ±30%, and eliminates the waste of design due to excessive quality.
■Low cost, high quality, reusable
Produced by rolling process, we achieved low cost. If you are using adhesives or other locking products, this can be a significant cost-saving alternative. Compliant with the tolerance range of JIS and ISO standards, it is of high quality and can be replaced with existing screws. Heat-treated bolts can be reused as long as the threads retain their elasticity.
