R-VIEW" uses three-dimensional particle tracking (PIV) to visualize particles introduced into the flow in a transparent water tank using two home-use video images using general verification equipment. This software includes model creation and graphic display functions for calculating trajectories and time-averaged flow velocity distributions.
■Extraction of particles
Particles for visualization are identified from the video imported onto the PC.
■Input of device shape and camera calibration
Using points whose coordinates are known, we calculate the positional relationship of the experimental equipment and multiple video cameras, lens distortion, etc.
■Extraction of 3D position of particles
By analyzing multiple video images while performing synchronized processing using flashing light images, the three-dimensional position of the visualization particle is calculated.
■Post processing
The spatial distribution of time-averaged flow velocity is calculated based on the three-dimensional trajectory of particles, and the flow velocity vector, circulation time distribution, etc. are displayed.
