About This Product

■What is MUSCLEαⅡ (high-precision muscle mass meter)?

This is a high-performance bioelectrical impedance measurement device that has been newly developed by incorporating cutting-edge technology based on a track record of numerous deliveries to universities, research institutes, sports centers, nursing care facilities, etc. across the country. This device combines the bioelectrical impedance type muscle mass measurement device (MUSCLE-α) developed in 1999, which measures skeletal muscle distribution by dividing the whole body into 9 segments, with the latest measurement technology and PC (Windows) environment. This is what was reproduced. It has higher accuracy and stability than MUSCLE-α and Physion MD, and can be used as a successor.

■Body composition measurement

This mode divides the whole body into 9 segments and measures skeletal muscle distribution. This measurement mode is equipped with the same algorithm as the research MUSCLE-α at the time of development, so it can be used as a successor model.

■Data collection

This mode makes it possible to collect high-level impedance information by adopting the latest measurement technology.

■Intracellular and extracellular body fluid volume ratio (tentative version)

This mode uses multi-frequency measurement technology to collect body fluid shift data such as the ratio of extracellular and extracellular fluid volumes.

■What is impedance measurement?

Impedance measurement is a method of estimating body composition by passing a weak electric current through the body and measuring its electrical resistance. Adipose tissue and muscle tissue contain different amounts of water, and therefore the ease with which electricity passes through them also differs. Muscle mass meter MUSCLE-αⅡ can classify and estimate each limb segment (upper arm, forearm, thigh, lower leg). You can also estimate your body fat percentage and lean body mass. Impedance fluctuates depending on the amount of water in the body.
