About This Product

VOCs (volatile organic gases) are detoxified by low-temperature combustion (approximately 200 to 350 degrees Celsius) using an oxidation catalyst. This has made it possible to downsize the device and reduce operating costs.

■Features

・Safe and compact design using electric heating as heating method, making it ideal for local exhaust ventilation. ・For the oxidation catalyst, a precious metal honeycomb catalyst with high efficiency, low pressure loss, and high durability is used. ・Low-temperature combustion + plate heat exchanger reduces running costs

■Catalytic combustion method

There are various methods for exhaust gas treatment, including (1) combustion method, (2) cleaning method, (3) adsorption method, (4) ozone oxidation method, (5) biological deodorization method, (6) plasma deodorization method, and (7) photocatalytic method. Among them, the combustion method is easy to operate and can stably decompose organic substances.

■Oxidation catalyst

Oxidation catalysts come in various types of metals and shapes, but DEOCAT has a standard SV value of 60,000, a pressure loss of about 2/3 of ceramic honeycomb, and is physically strong due to its stainless steel base, according to the following standards. Adopts a precious metal honeycomb catalyst (platinum/palladium) with high purification performance.

■Features of metal honeycomb catalyst

・Can be oxidized at low temperatures, can withstand high temperatures, and can process high concentration gases ・Because a large SV value (*) can be obtained, the device can be made more compact. ・Physically durable ・Low pressure loss and less clogging ・Long life and easy maintenance *SV (Space Velocity): Space velocity SV value = Processing gas amount (m³/h) / Catalyst amount (Liter)

■Heating method

In order for the catalyst to function, the process gas must be heated to the reaction temperature of the catalyst. The heating method uses an electric heater type, which is easy to handle, highly safe, and ideal for small equipment. Depending on the concentration of the process gas, the reaction temperature can be maintained through self-combustion, so it may be possible to operate economically by using the heater only when starting up the equipment. In addition, to reduce running costs, we use a cross-type plate heat exchanger that is compact and has a high heat exchange rate.

・Removal of odors and VOCs generated from plastic processing processes ・Removal of sewage sludge odor ・Removal of carbon monoxide (CO) generated from semiconductor manufacturing processes
