■Issues related to data center cooling

The key to building and operating a highly efficient data center is ensuring each server rack receives the necessary and sufficient amount of cooling airflow. When considering the cooling airflow for each rack in the machine room, the excess airflow from the empty spaces that are not installed causes air conditioning loss, resulting in a lack of cooling airflow overall. PlenaFill (blanking panel for 19 inches and 23 inches) can improve the cooling situation by blocking that path. In addition, by using PlenaForm (underfloor air conditioning route shielding panel), it is possible to create a smooth underfloor air conditioning route. Cooling measures for data centers can be implemented at low cost.

■ Effective results from simulation

PlenaForm Systems is an effective product for improving airflow based on the analysis results of thermal analysis simulation TileFlow.

■PlenaFill and PlenaForm special materials

The material is Formex GK-40 (inert polypropylene compound), US UL94 standard V-0 (flammability standard), RoHS2 directive compliant, high voltage insulation, and condensation resistant. The material is easy to work with and can be cut with scissors. The product has perforations so that it can be cut by hand. Installation under the floor is easy, and no special tools are required. Connection installation is done with snap rivets.

■PlenaVertical–Vertical space filler panel for wide racks

PlenaVertical is a general-purpose closed panel that closes the vertical space between the rack frame and the mounting rail. Regardless of the rack shape or the front or back position of the rail, PlenaVertical can be easily installed by folding it to fit the vertical space width or by simply cutting it. You can attach it freely according to your needs. The material is an inert polypropylene compound, US UL94 standard V-0 (flame retardant standard), RoHS2 directive compliant, insulating, easy to process, material that can be cut with scissors.The product is structured so that it can be cut by hand in 1U units. The cable opening can be secured by bending it. It can be installed in the round holes and screw holes provided in each rack manufacturer's unique mounting rail. It can be installed in all mounting angles of the EIA-310-E standard. Various rack mounts. Mounting rivets are available.
