About This Product

SCAPP is an abbreviation for Spectrum CUDA Access for Parallel Processing. Modern GPUs (GraphicsProcessingUnits) are designed to handle large numbers of parallel operations. CPUs provide only a few cores for parallel computation, while GPUs can provide thousands of cores. This computing capability can be used for calculations using the Nvidia CUDA interface. Because bus bandwidth and CPU power are often the bottlenecks in computation, CUDA remote direct memory access (RDMA) can be used to directly transfer and process data between SPECTRUM digitizers/generators and GPU cards. You can. This avoids transferring raw data to host memory and allows you to benefit from the computing power of the GPU.
