About This Product

Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) is a method of generating arbitrarily periodic waveforms from a single fixed frequency reference clock and is widely used in signal generation applications. The DDS functionality implemented in Spectrum's AWG is based on the principle of having multiple "DDS cores" and generating multicarrier (multitone) signals, where each carrier has its own well-defined frequency, It has amplitude and phase. In addition to these static parameters, dynamic parameters such as frequency and amplitude slope are also incorporated, allowing unique linear variations over multiple cores. Each core can be summed together and output, or a specific group of cores can be summed together and outputted to a specific hardware output channel. Fast DMA mode allows you to program more advanced frequency changes, such as shaped slopes and modulated sinusoidal signals, using separate DDS command sequences. *Supported products: M4i.66xx series, M4x.66xx series, DN2.66x series, DN6.66x series
