About This Product

The eye is extracted from the image input from the camera and tracked in real time while detecting its position and condition. It responds to changes in sunlight, shadows, lighting conditions, etc., and also detects blinking conditions. Furthermore, even after the eye disappears from the image, it can quickly detect the eye when it appears in the image. Since we have programmed it ourselves, our strength is that we can change the specifications to suit your needs.

■Can be processed under natural light

・It is possible to continue tracking processing even in situations where daily conditions change rapidly, which occurs when driving a vehicle. It is not necessarily necessary to keep the lighting conditions constant. ・As long as the image does not have blackouts or whiteouts, it can basically be processed. - Tracking accuracy will improve if the lighting conditions are adjusted. ・In dark places such as at night, where it is difficult to capture images using visible light, it is possible to process images using weak near-infrared illumination. (However, a camera sensitive to near-infrared light is required)

■Quick recovery performance

・Even if the eye is lost for some reason (for example, the steering wheel rotates and the face is hidden by the spokes), the next time the eye appears on the image, the tracking process can be continued quickly. . - Even if it incorrectly tracks something other than the eyes, it will self-return at a fast point with a high probability.

■You can choose any camera

・Processing can be done with a general-purpose web camera as long as the camera can develop the image into a VGA-sized bitmap. -Since the eyes are detected directly, the entire face does not need to be on the image.

■Eye detection

・Detect eye candidate points from the entire image. ・Then, it is determined whether the candidate point is an eye or not, and if the candidate point is determined to be an eye, the process moves to tracking processing.

■Eye tracking processing

- Find the eye based on the coordinates determined as the eye in the previous frame. - If the eye cannot be found, the process returns to eye detection processing. - If an eye is found, the eye position and eye open/close status (blinking) are output.
