■Quick and accurate analysis when necessary

As usage increases and tolerance levels for measurement errors decrease, it becomes important to accurately measure power at all times of the day. PMC is a portable power sensor that is a power meter that can directly measure the power on Trumpf, Precitec, and ScanSonic processing heads. In the interaction region, laser power is an important parameter that is the key to laser processing results. Since power loss has a significant impact on the quality of the processed product, it is very important to directly measure the laser power in or near the processing area. The portable power center PMC can measure power directly at the processing head. PMC is applicable to processing heads for Trumpf, Presitec, and Scansonic, and the protective glass can be replaced. PMC is for solid state lasers.

■Field of use

This measurement system is suitable for daily power monitoring. The compact design allows measurements even in tight spaces under the processing head. The protective treatment protects the PMC from impact and moisture. Equipped with an LCD screen, it uses a lithium battery that can be conveniently recharged via a micro USB connection. Do not exceed the temperature threshold of the PMC. Therefore, we recommend using interlock signals to monitor this important system parameter. It is also possible to use Bluetooth instead of a display. It is possible to connect to your tablet or mobile phone using the Primes Cube app.

■Model

In addition to the special model Trumpf-BEO machining head, it can now also be used with the Precitec-YW52 and Scansonic-ALO3 machining heads. The PMC-YW is designed to fit the protective window cartridge of the Precitec-YW52 processing head, and the PMC-ALO is designed to fit the Scansonic-ALO3 processing head.

■Special properties

A calorimeter type absorber is irradiated with a laser for a short time and the temperature of the absorber is measured. Laser power can be calculated with high precision using a microprocessor based on the temperature rise. It is possible to measure power by mechanically inserting and removing this power meter cassette inside the focusing head. During power measurement, a PMC can be installed and used instead of a protective glass.
