About This Product

High-power laser system analyzers are still heavy, but FPM is light at 10 kg. FPM is a fully automated measurement that can be integrated into your system to measure power and beam geometry. Knowing the current laser beam parameters allows you to easily create predictive and maintenance plans.

■Application

FPM is a system that allows you to quickly measure beam parameters in the processing shop. The advantage is easy system integration and its bus interface can be easily connected to industrial controllers and network hosts. FPM was initially developed for measurements in a special application "laser seam stepper", but has since become widely used. The FPM consists of three elements: a power meter unit, a beam analysis unit, and a fieldbus interface. All of this is built into a strong aluminum case.

■Shutters and protective windows

To prevent dust from entering through the entrance, the FPM is equipped with an electrically driven shutter and a removable protective window that can be removed using compressed air. Beam parameters can be measured regularly in the processing shop. This automatic check forms the basis of processing quality assurance.

■Field of use

One of the typical uses of FPM is automatic periodic monitoring. FPM is especially suitable for high power laser processing with small divergence angles, such as remote welding or when processing sheet metal with a laser seam stepper. The FPM is a convenient and durable device for measuring laser power parameters, beam propagation, and beam position at wavelengths of 1,030-1,090 nm. The maximum input power is 8kW and the beam measurement time is 0.3 seconds.
