About This Product

■Palm-sized power meterCube is a power meter for solid-state lasers. The laser power within the processing zone is one of the keys that determines the laser processing result. Power loss causes serious quality problems for processed parts. Therefore, it is necessary to measure the power directly or nearby in the machining zone. The Cube's portable and compact design allows power to be measured directly below the machining head in the machining zone.

Cube was developed as a power meter for daily inspection. The compact design allows power measurements to be made in confined spaces where installation is normally not possible. Robust housing protects against shock, vibration and dust. It is also equipped with an integrated LCD monitor. The power source is a lithium battery that can be charged with a micro USB port.

Cube has a built-in ring buffer that stores 14 measurements and displays the last measured data on the display. The ring buffer itself is large and accessed via Bluetooth.

■PrincipleThe absorber of the calorimeter measuring system is irradiated with a laser for a short period of time. The temperature difference of the absorber at the beginning and end of the laser pulse is measured. Microprocessor-based electronics measure laser power with high precision from temperature rise. When the absorber overheats, an interlock is activated and the laser stops. It is highly recommended to use an interlock when using it.

■Easy to operate with the Cube appUsing the Primes Cube app via Bluetooth, you can conveniently monitor your power on your mobile device, such as an AndroidTM smartphone or tablet. In addition to the graphical display and backup of measurements stored on the Cube, it is possible to define presets for measurement series and transfer them to the Cube via Bluetooth connection.

It is possible to display the power, pulse width, and energy of each pulse on your mobile device. In addition, standard deviation evaluation of the measured values ​​is possible using the PRIMES Cube App. This PRIMES Cube App can be downloaded for free from Google Play Store.
