About This Product

This is a fixation device that can be tailored to each patient using speedy and accurate modeling. Achieves excellent reproducibility of treatment positions in radiation therapy. - Accurately reproduces the body position of each patient during radiation therapy, eliminating deviations in the irradiation field. ・The specific gravity of the base material of the fixture is low, so it can be used for dose distribution measurement and treatment planning using CT imaging. - Fixture creation time can be controlled by the temperature and amount of water, allowing modeling to be tailored to each patient's situation. Pursuing high precision - Achieving excellent reproducibility and holding/fixing of patient positions in radiation therapy.

■ Adoption of patient positioning material

The base material (polystyrene beads + hydraulic urethane resin) with excellent modeling properties hardens by adding a small amount of water, making it possible to faithfully model the patient's position.

■Labor saving in making fixtures

By press-fitting a small amount of water (9 to 36g) with a sprayer, you can create mold care without having to drain water, save space, and keep your work area clean. The working time from water application to patient removal is 12 to 17 minutes for HN and 16 to 22 minutes for BR. After about 20 minutes of standing time, the strength needed to maintain the body position will be obtained.

■Improvement of patient's QOL

Since it is manufactured to match the treatment position, it provides good stability and fit for the patient, reducing pain during treatment. Additionally, since it cures with a small amount of water, the patient does not get wet and does not feel uncomfortable.

■High radiation transparency

Moldcare has a small specific gravity of approximately 0.1 and a CT value of -800 or less, so it can also be used for treatment planning using a CT simulator.

■Insurance coverage for head and neck fixation devices

When performing external beam irradiation for head and neck tumors (including intracranial tumors), if a device that precisely stabilizes the head and neck is used, an external beam fixation device charge will be calculated only once per patient. can.

■Reducing waste volume

By changing the composition of conventional products and materials, we have given them the ability to shrink when exposed to heat of 120℃ or higher. It can be sterilized and deflated in an autoclave to reduce waste volume.
