About This Product

Flexitron HDR is the latest treatment device that precisely irradiates cancer, tumor, and other tissues with high precision, and is the successor to the world's best-selling Micro Selectron HDR. Oncentra®Brachy radiation therapy planning program and many applicators can be used with MicroSelectron HDR.

■About brachytherapy

Brachytherapy is a highly precise, effective, and well-tolerated treatment option that allows us to tailor treatments to each patient's needs. Modern afterloading technology was pioneered by Nucletron in 1975. The MicroSelectron series, born from this technology, has revolutionized high-precision cancer treatment. Flexitron HDR is a new type of brachytherapy device that is the successor to the Micro Selectron HDR series, which has achieved even higher precision irradiation and improved safety. Flexitron HDR is the latest addition to the Nucletron afterloading series. It is a treatment device that can meet the needs of a wide range of brachytherapy patients and users, and can definitely demonstrate its value.

■Characteristics of Flexitron HDR

Over 1,500 systems of the previous model Micro Selectron series are used in over 80 countries around the world, and over 200 Flexitron systems have already been installed around the world. The Flexitron HDR system consists of a treatment unit, treatment console, and quality assurance tools. The forward stepping method of the treatment unit is a system that allows the radiation source to stop precisely at the designated stop site. This increases the safety of treatments and procedures. The minimum step length of the source has been improved from 2.5mm to 1mm. By stopping the radiation source in finer steps, more precise dose prescription is possible. Source transport is controlled by a drive mechanism that acts directly on the source cable. By carrying out daily quality control, we can control the transfer of the radiation source with an accuracy of ±0.5mm.
