About This Product

■Product specificationsDiamond discs are consumables used for rough and medium polishing in place of water-resistant abrasive paper. Unlike abrasive paper, they have a long lifetime because they are fixed abrasive grains. As for how long it is, IMAXR claims that it has a lifespan equivalent to 500 sheets of water-resistant abrasive paper, but it claims to have a lifespan more than double that. You can sharpen it quite a bit. Suitable for surface leveling to medium polishing processes of steel materials.

In addition, the surface of the diamond is coated with resin, and in order to prevent "sag" that often occurs with embedded samples due to the difference in hardness between the resin and the sample, the resin and sample should be coated in the same amount using the force of the diamond. Since it will shave it off, it can also help reduce sagging. However, since it is diamond, it is not suitable for soft materials such as aluminum or samples that tend to leave deep scratches. Of course, both automatic polishing and manual polishing can be used.Since it is shaped like an iron plate, it can be attached to a polishing plate using a magnet.
