About This Product

■Summary

・Ferrule tip: This is a high power resistant connector that is PC polished and does not require adhesive and has a micro air gap between the fiber and ferrule. ・Cost: The price is very reasonable considering the simple structure and high power resistant connector. - Compliant standards: Conforms to JIS standards (JIS C5970-2005). However, since this is an FC connector without a spring, the FC connector with this structure was removed from the standard in the 2015 revised edition. ・Connection method: This is a micro air gap type connector designed for connection in a space using an optical system, but there is no damage such as scratches or chips even after repeated PC connection (mechanical contact) more than 100 times, and it is suitable for general use. It can be treated in the same way as a connector. (However, if you clean it with a commercially available end face cleaner, the fibers will get caught in the air gap, so it is not recommended.) (PC connection test is ongoing). ・Optical fiber: SIF, GIF cladding diameter 125μm ・End cap: A 125μm coreless fiber is fused to the above fiber. ・Basic structure: The zirconia ferrule allows approximately 60% of unnecessary light to pass through, and the remaining light is diffused as heat by the copper flange. *Varies depending on wavelength. ・Application: Input/output end of LD/LED light of approximately 50W CW. ・Others: Also available for internal connection without a coupling nut or boot.
