■LiB charge/discharge evaluation tester

The LiB charge/discharge evaluation tester is a device created to ensure safety when manufacturing lithium-ion batteries. Lithium-ion batteries require a protection circuit to monitor charging and discharging, and each company is researching and developing safety aspects, especially the risk of fire and durability.

■Overview of lithium ion battery charge/discharge evaluation tester

Monitor the voltage increase during charging, as the positive and negative electrodes become oxidized or reduced, making the material more likely to become unstable. In particular, repeated excessive charging increases the risk of expansion, rupture, and fire. Therefore, we created a device that monitors and measures changes in the shape of the lamicelle due to the gas generated during charging and discharging while applying a load to the battery, assuming a product state in which the battery is placed in a case. This device is a product evaluation measurement test device that can monitor and measure the expansion of lithium-ion batteries due to gas.

■Logging data example

Long-term test data can be acquired on a PC by using logging software. Data can be logged for up to one week in terms of current time, elapsed time, load, displacement, and temperature. It is an essential logging tool when conducting durability tests.
