About This Product

The J-PARC proton linac distributes a 972MHz RF reference signal to each klystron drive station via optical transmission. The phase of the accelerating electric field (972MHz) must be within ±1, and the amplitude fluctuation must be within ±1%, so the stability required for the reference signal is extremely strict. Phase fluctuation is ±0.3° (approximately ±0.9ps at 972MHz) Equipment that meets the following specifications is required. WSM-NIM-1 and WRU-NIM-1 are NIM standard compliant versions of optical component systems (E/O_Module&O/E_Module) that have excellent temperature characteristics and minimize transmission jitter to meet strict requirements. Main features

■Transmission side: Wavelength Stabilized Laser Module

WSM-NIM-1 is a NIM standard compliant version that incorporates our E/O_Module WSM-2, which was developed as a light emitting module for a reference signal transmission device to the linac acceleration cavity. This E/O_Module is used in combination with our O/E_Module, WRU-NIM-1, to achieve low jitter of less than 1ps rms.

■Receiving side: 3Gbps O/E Receiver Module

WRU-NIM-1 on the receiving side has a built-in WRU-2 made by our company.
