About This Product

The two-split sensor amplifier receives the optical signal reflected from the cantilever of the atomic force microscope, converts the displacement of the optical beam due to the vibration of the cantilever into an electrical signal, performs the necessary analog calculations, and controls the drive of the piezo scanner. This is a device that outputs the signals necessary for signal generation.

■Configuration This two-part sensor amplifier consists of two units.

・PDA (optical signal reception) module MPR-1 ・SCD (optical signal analog calculation) calculation unit MSC-1A Main features

■Optical signal analog calculation unit MSC-1

Analog calculations of sum, difference, and quotient are performed using the voltage signals from the MPR-1, and each voltage signal is output after passing through a 4th-order Bessel low-pass filter with a band of 20 MHz. Displays 5 output voltages on the front panel.

■Optical signal receiving module MPR-1A

The optical signal from the cantilever is converted into a current signal by an internal two-part photodetector, and then converted into a voltage signal by an I-V amplifier, and then sent to the MSC-1. Main features

■MSC-1:

- Performs analog calculations on the 2ch voltage signals from MPR-1, generates sum signals, difference signals, and quotient signals and outputs them. - Change the gain for the sum signal, difference signal, and quotient signal by operating the front panel. - Displays 5 output voltages on the front panel.

■MPR-1:

・Converts the optical signal from the cantilever into a voltage signal and outputs it. ・Outputs the spot displacement of the optical signal as a voltage displacement between channels.
