■Optical design

A 0.4 magnification reduction optical system captures more than 95% of the light emitted from a fiber with a core diameter of 1,000 μm into a Φ0.4 mm detector. *The optical system consists of two lenses. The first lens is an aspherical lens, and the second lens is a meniscus lens.

■Electrical circuit design

Wideband amplifier circuit + CW (DC) Design of a circuit that can also measure light.

■Case design

The SPD-2 has achieved an easy-to-use, compact housing while maintaining the above two performances. SPD-2 is an O/E converter equipped with a uniquely designed optical system that allows it to capture the light emitted from a fiber with a core diameter of 1mm without leaking, and has a large receiving field of view. Ideal for observing plastic fiber light for high-speed transmission with relatively small NA. Two models are available: SPD-2_650nm with a reference wavelength of 658nm and SPD-2_850nm with a reference wavelength of 850nm. (Please note that the PD frequency characteristic compensation value is different between SPD-2_650nm and SPD-2_850nm.)
