About This Product

■Summary

EX-CPU is a product that can be freely customized by combining 5 expansion modules and selecting API mode or library mode according to customer needs. The EX series has two control methods: "API mode" which is functionally compatible with the USPG-R series, and "library mode" for standalone devices that operate with user's original firmware.

■Product features (API mode)

- This is a mode in which the commands for operating the motor control LSI are converted into API functions, and the operating parameters and operating functions are pre-integrated into the API functions. ・In addition to speed and travel settings, the EX series can provide the same functions as the USB compatible motor controller USPG-R series, such as gantry control, arch motion, and vibration suppression control. ・The EX series' flexible hardware configuration, which is not available in the USPG-R series, allows for a wide range of uses. - A sample application "Sample GUI" with source code that can be used in production is included, and can be used for device applications.

■API mode functions

1.Light landing function This function uses 2-axis interpolation control, making it possible to change the speed just before stopping to minimize impact on the workpiece. This can be achieved with a relatively simple configuration of about 2 steps (provided by SampleGUI). 2. Timing output function This is a timing output function using an interpolation table. General-purpose output can be managed according to location information, so it can be used as a trigger for camera shooting or other operations. 3. Arch motion We have prepared a sample source (SampleGUI) for arch motion instead of continuous interpolation. It can be applied to coating control, vertical movement, etc. 4. Gantry function Gantry control using interpolation control. Since it has been converted into a sample function (SampleGUI) in advance, it is an environment that can be used with only operation parameters.

■Product features (library mode)

・This is a controller module that allows users to freely design their own firmware for the CPU module using C language and libraries provided by our company. - For firmware development, you can use Renesas Electronics' integrated development environment CubeSuite+.
