About This Product

The os5000 is a displacement meter using fiber optic Bragg grating (FBG) technology, designed to measure minute changes in civil and geotechnical structures. It can measure displacements less than 12mm and is suitable for applications requiring high sensitivity. The os5000 is specifically designed to measure displacement between two gauge points on a specimen surface. Easily attaches to metal, concrete, and other surfaces for easy measurements. The os5000 is encased in a sturdy aluminum box, allowing it to be installed in harsh environments without being affected by external influences. The os5000 offers many benefits unique to FBG-based sensors, including EMI immunity not offered by vibrating wire gauges. ■Applications ・Structures: bridges, dams, tunnels, buildings, oil platforms, etc. ・Energy: wind generators, pipelines, generators, etc. ・Transportation: Railways, trains, roads, ships, etc.
