About This Product

High-pressure water is sprayed onto molten metal at high temperatures, causing it to scatter and rapidly cool and solidify as it falls. At this point, it has already been powdered, but the particle size has been further adjusted by sieving.

■Features

By melting them together during the melting process, it is possible to produce powders with various alloy compositions. Also, because the cooling rate is fast, the powder solidifies before surface tension takes effect, resulting in irregularly shaped powder. Furthermore, by changing the mesh size in the sieving process, a variety of particle sizes are available. Due to its irregular shape, it has good formability and is widely used as a powder metallurgy material for oil-impregnated bearings and sintered machine parts.
