About This Product

Powerful air curtain for blow-off of webs, sheets and parts

■What is a standard air knife?

A quiet and efficient way to clean, dry or cool parts, webs or conveyors. Standard air knives utilize the Coanda effect, which creates a flow of air from the surrounding area. Using a small amount of compressed air as a power source, standard air knives draw in large amounts of ambient air to generate a large volume, high velocity air curtain as a blow-off.

■Why standard air knife?

Standard air knives have an air amplification factor of 30:1, which is 3 times more than drilled hole pipe. Therefore, replacing it with a homemade blow-off component can improve compressed air consumption by 40% to 90%. Also, the noise level is improved by about half. As a result, it delivers high speed, high capacity air seats with reduced noise levels and compressed air consumption. In contrast, conventional drill pipes or open jets have low amplification factors. These products cut compressed air into quiet air, producing unacceptably high noise levels.
