■What is a digital flow meter?Anyone who is serious about reducing energy consumption, operating an efficient plant or optimizing a compressed air system knows that measuring compressed air consumption is the first step towards efficiency. . Easily monitor compressed air consumption and waste with Exair digital flow meters.

The digital display shows the exact amount of compressed air being used, making it easy to identify costly leaks and inefficient air production. Many companies install digital flow meters at each major section of their air distribution system to constantly monitor and benchmark compressed air usage.

■Why a digital flow meter?The digital flow meter has an LED display that directly shows the SCFM or m3/hr of air flow through the pipe. We have models in stock ranging from 1/2 inch to 4 inch iron pipe. Each digital flow meter is calibrated to the pipe size in which it is installed. Digital flow meters are designed to be permanently or temporarily attached to pipes. You will need to drill two small holes in the pipe using the included drill bit and locating jig. The two flow sensing probes of the digital flow meter are inserted into these holes.

When you tighten the clamp, the unit seals the pipe. No cutting, welding, adjustment or calibration is required. If you need to remove the unit, please use a block-off ring. NEMA4 (IP66) meters are available. Please contact factory for NEMA4 meters.

■How to useThese flow meters measure flow by maintaining a temperature difference between two probes inserted into a compressed air pipe. One probe is kept warmer than the other, and the mass flow rate is determined by the amount of heat required to maintain the temperature difference. Flow rate is displayed in SCFM or m3/hr on a large 4-digit display. 4-20mA output and pulse output allow remote display of flow values ​​and data collection.
