About This Product

■What is a template?Templates are used to form general whetstones used in grinding machines. The copy dressing device traces the template and forms a grindstone that is 1/N times the shape of the template.

Nowadays, most grindstones are formed using NC equipment. Forming a whetstone by tracing a template using a copying device is an old-fashioned processing method, but there are still cases in which it is still in use.

■Template accuracyWe manufacture with an accuracy of about 1/10 to 1/50 of the accuracy of the product to be ground. High precision is required not only in length tolerance and step tolerance, but also in flatness, squareness, parallelism, and waviness. In most cases, manufacturing tolerances of around 0.005 to 0.001 mm are required.

In addition, many products have an R shape or a tapered shape at the joint between the steps, and if tolerances are required in this part, the manufacturing difficulty becomes even more difficult and the cost increases.
