■LiDAR upper case
Adopted in the upper case of LiDAR used in advanced driving support systems. High dimensional accuracy is ensured by joining different materials with inserts.
Technology used
■Injection molding
Resin molding (plastic injection molding) is a molding method that uses an injection molding machine and a mold. The thermoplastic resin material is heated and melted, fed into a mold, and then cooled to form the desired shape. It is called "injection molding" because it resembles injecting liquid with a syringe. Even complex shapes can be molded by making full use of mold technology, so it can be said that this technology can meet a variety of requests.
*Thermoplastic resin is a plastic that softens when heated and hardens when the temperature drops to a certain temperature. Even once hardened, it can be softened many times when heated, making it a suitable material for recycling and used in a wide range of products.
■Painting
This is a decoration technique that sprays paint onto the surface of resin, etc. In addition to general painting, we also perform relatively difficult painting such as high-brightness metallic painting and pearl painting that create a luxurious look. In addition, a hard coat treatment is applied in the final process to protect the painted surface from wear. Even though it is simply called painting, there are compatibility depending on the type of resin and paint that is being sprayed. Improper combination of materials can cause problems such as uneven coloring and peeling. We have a lot of experience and knowledge about paints, so please feel free to contact us. In addition, we can also paint not only resin but also silicone rubber parts.
■Resin insert molding
Insert molding is a molding method that integrally molds parts such as metal that are to be integrated with plastic resin. In addition to metal parts, it is also possible to integrate different types of resin. After insert parts are set in the mold, melted plastic resin is poured into them to integrate them. The key point is that, similar to two-color molding, it can be expected to reduce assembly and bonding processes. On the other hand, advanced mold design technology and know-how are required. We also develop unique technologies that leverage our experience and know-how in manufacturing various insert molded products.
