About This Product

■Power supply circuit simulation

All versions of SIMetrix/SIMPLIS include the SIMPLIS simulator along with the SIMetrix simulation environment, so there is no SIMPLIS standalone product that does not include SIMetrix. SIMetrix/SIMPLIS Classic includes SIMPLIS functionality in the SIMetrix Classic simulation environment. The functions of the schematic editor and waveform viewer are configured in common. SIMPLIS is designed to simulate switching power electronics systems and can simulate power supply designs 10 to 50 times faster than SPICE.

■Key features

- Includes all the functionality of SIMetrix Classic and the same GUI environment including a hierarchical schematic editor and waveform viewer. - SIMPLIS performs transient analysis 10-50 times faster than SPICE. ・Periodic operating point (POP) analysis quickly finds the steady state operating point of switching without simulating from the starting state of transient analysis. -Circuit that does not converge with SPICE can be easily converged.

■Small signal AC analysis

Since SPICE is a static method, it is not possible to perform small-signal AC analysis of switching circuits, but SIMPLIS allows calculations using a generator that sweeps the frequency, just as if measuring with actual hardware. Therefore, the result of frequency sweep is obtained. The advanced digital simulation library includes many digital functions such as counters, ADCs, DACs, etc., making digital-to-analog simulation easy. SPICE transistor and diode models can be converted to SIMPLIS models. For SPICE models, parameters are extracted using SPICE simulation within the program and automatically converted to SIMPLIS models.
