About This Product

■Mechanism and application of oil-water separator

Two types of filters are used to collect oil: a coalescer and a pre-filter. The cleaning solution first passes through a thread-wound filter called a pre-filter to remove large particles. Next, it passes through a coalescer to remove oil droplets contained in the cleaning solution. The oil droplets caught in the coalescer become larger as the liquid circulates repeatedly, gain buoyancy, and float to the top of the coalescer tank. A coalescer is a filter that collects oil while circulating liquid.

■How to use oil-water separator cleaning equipment

The oil that rises to the surface of the liquid in the cleaning equipment tank can be collected using an oil skimmer, but it is not possible to collect the oil droplets dispersed in the liquid. By installing an oil-water separator there, floating and dispersed oil droplets can be efficiently collected. Since it has a built-in pump, it can be operated by installing a suction pipe from the cleaning tank and a return pipe for circulation.

■How to use an oil skimmer with a water-based cleaning machine

If a lot of oil is brought into the washer, it is also important to remove the floating oil before the oil/water separator. A belt-type oil skimmer is installed in the cleaning liquid tank to collect floating oil. The oil that has surfaced in the tank will adhere to the belt of the oil skimmer, so use a scraper to collect it. A separation box is also included, so the underflow structure allows water to return to the tank and oil to be collected and recovered. Collecting the floating oil in advance reduces the load on the oil/water separator and extends the life of the coalescer.

■Purpose of using oil-water separator in water-based cleaning machine

When cleaning with detergent or alkaline electrolyzed water, oil that has adhered to the workpiece from the previous process accumulates in the cleaning tank. If used as is, the oil concentration will increase and eventually cause re-adhesion to the workpiece, leading to poor cleaning. By properly removing oil from the cleaning liquid tank, contamination of the cleaning liquid can be suppressed and cleaning operations can be performed stably.
