About This Product

■Takahashi Metals developed electrolyzed ionized water for industrial cleaning over 20 years ago, and many customers have adopted it.

Electrolyzed ionized water cleaning is a system that degreases and cleans metals, etc. using alkaline ionized water obtained by electrolyzing tap water. Since our company can generate electrolyzed water without using electrolytes such as potassium carbonate and without additives, it is possible to clean products made of various materials such as SUS and iron, as well as aluminum, copper, and brass.

■Characteristics and their uses

Takahashi Metal's electrolyzed ionized water directly electrolyzes tap water, industrial water, etc. to generate alkaline electrolyzed ionized water and acidic electrolyzed ionized water. It is unique in that it is produced without adding electrolytes during electrolysis. Alkaline electrolyzed ionized water has a pH of 8.5 to 11 and is mainly used for degreasing and cleaning. Acidic electrolyzed ionized water is used for oxide removal and sterilization. However, the pH of electrolyzed ionized water is affected by the quality of the water, such as the electrical conductivity (conductivity) of the raw water (tap water, industrial water, etc.), so the values obtained will vary.

■Advantages and disadvantages

Takahashi Metal's electrolyzed ionized water cleaning equipment basically uses alkaline electrolyzed ionized water (about pH 10) produced by electrolyzing raw water without additives, but if you wish to use alkaline electrolyzed ionized water with a pH of 11 or higher. can also be produced by adding an electrolysis aid (electrolyte: sodium carbonate, etc.) to raw water. Increasing the pH improves cleanability and has the effect of increasing rust prevention, but on the other hand, it has the disadvantage of causing discoloration of non-ferrous metal products. Additionally, there have been reports of problems such as frequent nozzle clogging and watermarks remaining on the object to be cleaned due to the increased amount of precipitates caused by the added electrolyte. It is necessary to determine the advantages and disadvantages of using electrolytes, and select water quality and equipment design according to the application.
