About This Product

Bernhard Halle founded its optical workshop in 1873, the same year Ernst Abbe published his theory of the microscope. The first product was a crystal optical system for polarizing microscopes. We have since expanded our offerings to include all types of mirrors and prisms, as well as designing and manufacturing lens systems. We are particularly good at manufacturing and supplying polarizing elements. Main products include Grand Prism polarizers in the ultraviolet region (λ<350nm), Grand Prism polarizers with transmission wavefront accuracy of λ/10, ultra-wide range 600-2,700 nm achromatic wave plates, and achromatics for femtosecond pulses. We have unique products such as lenses, achromatic lenses for UV-VIS-IR, and UV objective lenses for laser focusing (for Spatial Filter).
