Cavity ring-down mirrors are dielectric multilayer mirrors manufactured using a unique process, and are characterized by extremely low loss due to scattering and absorption. Many products achieve a reflectance of 99.99% or more, and loss due to scattering and absorption varies depending on the wavelength, but for low-loss products it is around 10 ppm.
