About This Product
This tablet-shaped desiccant, developed by our company and containing silica gel as its main ingredient, has been well received since its release in 1977. We can also handle special products such as changes in packaging design and activated carbon content.
■Features
・It is not bulky like bagged desiccant and has a constant shape.
・Since the shape is uniform, it can be automatically filled into bottles and other containers by machine.
- Stable against most chemicals, and does not change shape even if it comes in contact with water.
- Tasteless, odorless, and harmless.
■About safety
Dry Yarn® tablets contain silica gel, binders, lubricants, etc., but they are all harmless and do not contain any harmful substances such as lead, mercury, cadmium, chromium, arsenic, cyanide, etc. things have been proven.
■About the color of the tablets
It is basically white in color, but in rare cases it may have a pale yellow color. However, there is no difference in moisture absorption performance.
■Desicant ST type (strip type - bare tablet) ・Desicant FC type (film coated tablet)
These tablets are made by molding silica gel and removing the adhering powder. It is not harmful if you put it in your mouth, but there may be a small amount of powder attached that cannot be removed during manufacturing. Suitable for cases where it is not possible to touch the product directly, such as when placing it in the inner cap of a bottle, or where there is no harm in touching the product. *We can also offer film-coated tablets (FC type) that reduce powder falling.

・Drying agent 80% silica gel (Japanese Industrial Standard Z-0701 passed product)
・Binder 18% Special synthetic resin
・Other 2%
・For the FC type, a small amount of coating agent is applied to the standard composition.
■Water content/moisture absorption performance, etc.
・Moisture content: 3.0% or less
・Moisture absorption rate RH20%: 7.0% or more
・Moisture absorption rate RH50%: 17.0% or more
・Moisture absorption rate RH90%: 25.0% or more
■Weight and dimensions per tablet
For Dry Yarn® tablets, the weight and dimensions of each tablet are determined as follows, taking into account fluctuations in the specific gravity of the raw material silica gel and fluctuations during the manufacturing process.
