About This Product

The YAR-LP-SF series is a line of linearly polarized (LP) single-frequency (SF) single-mode fiber amplifiers, covering the spectral range from 1,030 to 1,070 nm. Amplifiers typically have a bandwidth of 10 to 20 nm (depending on the output), and the variability of the input signal allows for perfect wavelength matching. This series has versions from 1 to 100W. These user-friendly, highly efficient 19-inch rack-mountable devices are designed for maintenance-free applications in the temperature range of 0°C to 35°C. The YAR-LP-SF series is optimized for linearly polarized, single-frequency input signals and can be used for a variety of applications such as coherent beam combining, detection systems, sensing, and other applications.

■Summary

YAR-LP-SF series amplifiers feature linear polarization, single frequency input signal amplifiers. The input and output of the amplifier are equipped with 1-2 meters of fiber optic cable, with connectors at the input and a beam collimator (standard beam diameter 1 mm) at the output. Standard amplifiers have 25dB of input optical isolation and less than -60dB of residual pump power at the input and output ports. Typical extinction ratios are below 20-23dB. Optical output free space optical isolators are also available upon request. The YAR-LP-SF series amplifiers provide full control of amplifier parameters, including saturation output and excitation diode current, as well as temperature and output readings over GPIB, RS-232, or a user-friendly manual interface. IPG's YAR-LP-SF series amplifiers require no water cooling or replacement parts, only a 110/220VAC power supply for the amplifiers for low power signals. The entire YAR-LP-SF series of amplifiers uses a wide stripe (1x100μm) pump diode with a display wavelength of 965 nm or less.
