About This Product

By mixing nitrogen gas or carbon dioxide gas with molten resin and injecting it into the mold, fine bubbles are formed inside the molded product, reducing the weight of the product and improving warpage and sink marks. Foam molding includes physical foaming and chemical foaming. In Japan, chemical foaming has been the mainstream as it is easy to implement, but in recent years physical foaming has been increasingly adopted as it has a low environmental impact and can be widely applied to recycled materials and super engineering plastics that require high molding temperatures. We have a lineup of physical foaming injection molding machines, the "MuCell® specification machine" and the "SOFIT® specification machine", and are offering sales and molding trial support.

■Improvement of sledding

Foam molding suppresses the generation of residual stress and improves the warpage of molded products.

■Fine foam layer

Since it is possible to generate fine air bubbles, even in core-back molding, uniform foaming and weight reduction with little loss of strength are possible.

■Molding example: Panel

Physical foam molding of bioplastics reduces the amount of petroleum-derived resin used and greatly contributes to carbon neutrality. In addition, foam molding causes an appearance defect called swirl marks, but this can be improved by using methods such as counter pressure method (CPM).
