About This Product

Yakitsuka nuts are highly effective in preventing seizing and galling, and are dry-finished nuts with glossy tin plating. The plating has high adhesion and is difficult to peel off, so it can be used repeatedly. In addition, the smooth tin plating finish reduces the coefficient of friction between the threaded surface and seat surface, increasing the axial force, but since the coefficient of friction is not too low, the risk of overtorque is lower than with anti-seize agents.

■Plating layer of Yakitsuka nuts

Yakitsuka nuts have a three-layer plating structure.

■Tin layer (functional decorative material layer)

・5~10μm tin layer ・Prevents the heat absorbed by the copper layer from being retained on the rubbing surfaces (screw threads) when bolts and nuts are fastened, and reduces the friction of the rubbing surfaces. ・Maintains aesthetic appearance (dry tailoring)

■Copper layer (functional material layer)

・4~12μm copper layer ・Copper with good thermal conductivity absorbs and diffuses heat generated by friction during fastening.

■Nickel layer (primer material layer)

・0.2~1μm nickel layer ・Activate the surface oxidation layer of stainless steel screw parts to improve adhesion with the base material and copper layer Features

■High seizure and galling prevention effect

By performing three-layer plating, it not only has the effect of preventing seizure, but also maintains the aesthetic appearance and improves adhesion.

■Clean

The dry finish means no leakage and no stains like when using lubricants. Furthermore, since no application time is required, work time can be reduced.

■Can be used repeatedly

Unlike coating agents, the plating's high adhesion makes it difficult to peel off, and the anti-seize effect remains even after the tightening test is repeated eight times.

■Cost reduction

The time required to replace burned nuts can be reduced, and a wide range of cost reductions can be expected, including labor costs, stress on tools, and the risk of work-related injuries.
