The EDG3 is ANCA's latest high-performance, low-cost solution for the production and resharpening of PCD, carbide tools (HM) and high-speed steel tools. Designed for small to large size PCD drills, end mills and profile tools, the ANCA EDG3 is a versatile machine with a built-in direct drive EDM and grinding spindle for maximum flexibility. Masu.
Equipped with the latest ANCA Motion SparX discharge generator to manage the EDG (Electro Discharge Grinding) process, the EDG3 delivers the highest cycle times and surface finishes on even the hardest materials. Using the latest ANCA ToolRoom suite of dedicated PCD electrical discharge machining software, including ball nose, corner radius, drill and profile cycles, ANCA's EDG3 offers a new level of value for PCD tool manufacturing.

■Product details
PCD (Poly Crystalline Diamond) tools perform manufacturing operations using diamond as the main cutting substrate. These include traditional hard-brazed inserts along the cutting edge, and more recently vein milling, chevron milling, and full PCD round tools. Extremely hard PCD tools are suitable for highly abrasive applications in cutting non-ferrous materials such as aluminum alloys, plastics, metal composites (CFRP, PRP, GRP), graphite, wood, stone, and glass. They are becoming increasingly popular as they have a much longer tool life than traditional cutting tools. In recent years, the PCD tool market has grown twice as much as the general carbide cutting tool market, creating a great opportunity for tool manufacturers aiming to leap forward at the cutting edge of cutting tool technology.
